AI Leadership Lab

Give your leadership team the understanding to choose where AI belongs in the business. Start with foundations and a short practical experience, then explore strategic opportunities, potential returns and investment choices.

One leadership team · One company theme

Four hours to build understanding and direction.

A facilitated session for up to ten leaders, shaped through sponsor prework. We begin with AI foundations and a short practical experience, then spend the session on opportunities, business value and investment choices within one company theme.

Prework establishes your team’s starting knowledge and selects the depth of explanation and practice. The Augmented Enterprise connects the opportunities with knowledge, work design, quality, trust and people. You leave with a small portfolio, an initial business case and a written decision agenda with owners.

Scope, fee and schedule are agreed before commitment.

The session sequence

Foundations first. Then the business choices.

01

Understand the capability

Learn what AI is, how predictive and generative AI differ, and how models, tools and agents relate. Prework sets the foundation depth around your team’s starting knowledge.

02

Experience a useful example

Try a short company-relevant exercise and inspect the result. Use that experience to understand what the technology could make possible and where its limits affect a decision.

03

Build an opportunity portfolio

Explore new services, customer experiences, stronger decisions and operating improvements within one company theme. Use The Augmented Enterprise to examine strategic fit, system dependencies, evidence and readiness.

04

Examine the investment

Build an initial cost-and-benefit case, examine ROI assumptions and choose pilot, invest, revise or stop. Name the owners and evidence needed for the next decision.

Value and investment judgment

Make the business case explicit.

Examine what the opportunity could contribute, what it would cost and what must be true for it to work. The Augmented Enterprise brings the five domains into that investment case: knowledge and context, work and handoffs, flow and quality, trust and authority, and organizational capability.

Compare the proposal with the current approach and a simpler alternative. Judge value across the full flow, including downstream effects, adoption and the dependencies needed to make the result useful. A faster local task is one observation to examine within that system.

Learn to work through cost, benefit, payback and ROI as projections with visible assumptions. Include setup, implementation, review, tool consumption and continuing support. Identify which figures are measured, which are estimates and what would change the recommendation.

Released capacity and cash savings need different evidence.

Released capacity can support better service, more work or a new offering. Cash savings require an actual change in spending. Name how the organization would use the capacity and who owns that decision before treating it as a financial return.

Leave with a decision the team can act on.

Choose pilot, invest, revise or stop, with an accountable owner, a bounded next commitment and evidence to gather. The 30-day sponsor review examines progress and remaining questions. Learning supports the decision; realized savings and ROI depend on subsequent work and evidence.

Develop the people who will carry it forward.

For managers responsible for work design and adoption, the Applied AI for Business Lab provides six weekly two-hour sessions for a company-sponsored cohort of up to twelve learners. An actual baseline, company projects and value measures prepare them to lead a small pilot.

For practitioners developing one role and workflow, the trAIn Workflow Learning Sprint provides source and quality checks, independent approved-tool practice and reusable instructions. Each route can be selected directly, with foundation depth matched to starting knowledge.
